Care Instructions

Care instructions: The ThinLine girth is made almost entirely of ThinLine’s proven shock-absorbing foam, with the addition of stabilizing leather pieces. We recommend using ThinLine Cleaner, as it has been tested and is completely safe for the ThinLine foam. Or just wipe with gentle soap and water as needed. Please do not use oil-based leather care products like Lexol. Oil will harden the ThinLine material and you want it soft for years!

How do I know ThinLine is delivering the comfort and protection my horse needs?

Once you receive your ThinLine girth, ride in it for at least a week.  At first, you may simply notice things like; “my horse was great today, my seat and aids were soft and effective”, great job! you are on your way.  You will see daily improvement. But, this can be a bit subtle in the beginning. 

How to check out your girth’s effectiveness.  After at least a week of riding daily, begin your warm-up with the ThinLine.  Once you are warmed up, remove the ThinLine and ride.  This is when you will see just how much your horse is loving their girth.

    I recently purchased this girth for my sensitive, girthy TB and after only using it a few times, I’ve noticed a positive difference in his demeanor when I’m tacking him up. I love the stabilizing system and the Thinline foam is nice and squishy for ultimate comfort. It’s also super easy to clean! A simple wipe down with water or the Thinline cleaner leaves this girth looking brand new! So glad I decided to purchase this girth and I cannot recommend it enough.

    LOVE this girth! I was having trouble with the billet holes not matching up on my dressage saddle resulting in one being tight and the other one gaping. The stabilizing design corrected that problem beautifully. It also reduced saddle slippage so I no longer need to use a non-slip gel pad under my regular saddle pad. Plus it’s comfy for my horse annd easy to clean. Highly recommend!!!

    Thanks for your question! We do not have this girth in a standard length, however we do have the Anatomical Hunter Jumper girth that comes in standard length such as 46". It can be found here!

    A There is no ring on the short girt. There are center rings on the western cinch and side rings on the long english girths.

    A Thank you for your question! This girth has no elastic and is made almost entirely of ThinLine, which has some give and always rebounds into original shape. It's also designed to distribute pressure evenly with it's stabilizing D-ring billet system.
