Western Cotton Liner Pad
ThinLine Saddle pads create a more comfortable and closer connection with your horse by reducing rider movement and protecting horses’ backs in a super-thin pad.
The western cotton liner pad is breathable, shimmable, and offers top-of-the-line shock absorption and protection. For perfect saddle fit, you can add up to 3 layers of shims in the pocket of this ThinLine pad. The shims can be placed exactly where they are needed and can be left in the pad when washing. This pad features high-quality cotton that is easy to care for and will last for years to come!
What is ThinLine?
ThinLine is a thin, shock-absorbing non-slip breathable foam.
Where is the ThinLine?
ThinLine material is sewn onto the panel of our saddle pads. Here you can see the ThinLine foam on top of a western cotton liner pad. Available in square size and a rounded skirt version.
ThinLine is endorsed by back surgeons, master saddlers & veterinarians.
Saddle Fitting with the Western Non-Slip Saddle Pad Liner.
Full saddle fitting shims are available when you select your pad size. These may be used as-is to double your protection or trimmed into pairs of the front, bridging, and rear shims to customize your saddle fit.
Not all riders need shims for their pad. Many minor saddle fit issues will be solved with just the ThinLine pad alone. If you are trying to solve issues such as bridging, filling in behind high withers, or balancing the saddle, to name just a few, ThinLine shims will fix those issues while also providing additional protection. The Cotton Western Liner is one of our thinnest pads.

Hi Jill and thanks for your question! The Western Cotton Liner pad fits well on all conformations and is great to use under a show blanket. Thin enough to be layered and durable enough to use on its own. It's also great to use on top of another pad if you have enough room under your saddle for layers. Please keep an eye out for an email to further help with your specific question!
