Woven Wool Sheepskin Western Comfort Pad
Therapeutic | Better Saddle Fit | Better Equitation | Improved Comfort and Performance
The ThinLine Woven Wool Western Saddle Pad delivers protection for both horses and riders.
What is ThinLine?
ThinLine is a thin, shock-absorbing non-slip breathable foam. Endorsed by surgeons, master saddlers, riders, and veterinarians.
Where is the ThinLine?
It is sewn onto the panel of our comfort saddle pads.
The manner in which this product absorbs motion encourages horses to lift their backs, developing strength and top-line. It has been endorsed by Veterinarians, for horses, as well as Spinal Surgeons for riders. It is a top pick for Master Saddlers around the world. Equine Chiropractors and Massage Therapists carry it on their trucks to keep horses strong, supple, and relaxed. Trainers and riders find it a trusted product to improve rider equitation.
How do you add Saddle Fitting Shims?
There is an opening at the bottom of the foam panel which allows you to shim in any area
Performance Guaranteed
You will see and feel an increased performance in how horses lift their backs with this Western sheepskin saddle pad. ThinLine gives you an amazing seat and super shock absorption without losing the feel. Riders will sit closer, and quieter, and horses will move with a much more relaxed back. Breathable ThinLine technology helps to keep this comfortable saddle pad cool under your saddle. A pocket for shims allows you to fine-tune your saddle fit. ThinLine is all about helping horses and riders achieve relaxation, suppleness, and communication. This is one of the finest ThinLine products we have produced.
What is Full Merino Woven Wool?
So soft! So sweat-absorbing! Merino Wool on a synthetic hide makes it easy to wash!
Merino lambs are sheared, and then the wool is needled onto a fabric backing. The wool quality, length, and density are more consistent than Merino wool on a natural hide. The longevity of Woven Wool is superior to Merino Wool on a hide. Generally, the hide is what becomes compromised after it encounters dampness or heat.
Woven Wool contains no hide. Therefore, sheep are not harmed in the making of this pad, and with Woven Wool, machine washing is simple.
Comes with the Same ThinLine Features You Know & Trust
Shimmable for customized saddle fit with shims made of the same trademark foam. The shaped wither profile provides clearance while the ThinLine panels help create a spine-free channel. With 95% shock absorption provided by the ThinLine foam, this pad also minimizes rider movement creating a quieter seat. ThinLine’s open-cell technology provides breathability and is non-slip.
A full panel of 100% natural, medical-grade sheepskin woven onto a synthetic hide will be against your horse. Covering the Merino wool, a high-grade quilted cotton pad with a light wool fill. Optional shims may be added under the ThinLine panels for saddle fitting needs or to double your protection. Up to 3 layers of shims can be added.

Medical Grade Sheepskin Wash Instructions
Our products come with a full-year warranty provided they are cared for as directed.
Regular maintenance: Dry between rides. Place the pad wool side up in a cool environment, in humid climates use a fan to blow over the pad. Once the pad is dry, lightly brush it with a pet brush to help to keep the wool fluffy and resilient for the next ride.
Washing and drying: Sheepskin saddle pads are best washed by hand in cold water. Use a soap designed for sheepskin to keep your pad under warranty. You may machine wash (although hand wash is preferred) in a front loader, no agitators against the ThinLine panels, gentle wash cycle, cold. Remove excess water in the pad by squeezing the water out or placing in your washing machine on the spin cycle.
Fill washing machine (or bathtub for really large items) with water, then add a sheepskin soap. Soak for 1 hour squeezing soap and water through item from time to time. If the item is really dirty you may need to repeat the process. Squeeze or use the spin cycle to remove excess water and lay over a rack or rail to dry with sheepskin facing up. Keep out of the sun, and away from direct heat and dryers. Please do not brush or pull sheepskin fibers when wet. To prevent shrinkage, gently stretch the hide while drying.
Full Sheepskin Pads may take 2-3 days to dry. Sheepskin trimmed items should be good to go in a day. The ThinLine shim may slow drying time, we recommend placing absorbent products such as paper towels or chamois cloths inside the pocket.
When the care instructions are followed properly, our sheepskin pads are proving to have an expected 4-5 years of use.

Laura Taylor Vaughn just received this from the office….”It matter not which pad they choose. All ThinLine products help with kissing spine. If they would like the best for the horse, we would recommend #7023 English and #3334 Full Sheepskin with Ultra ThinLine panels. Attached, please find the image of the TL stand at 3-H Veterinary, one of the Vets who works to help all sports injuries and issues with kissing spine.”

Lisa Haaparanta: I have been using mine for the last few weeks on my 5 yr old mare. I absolutely LOVE it!!! She’s sensitive but is so comfortable with the pad that training is progressing quite smoothly. I’ve used it on my 10yr old AQHA mare who is arthritic through her shoulders and she is so free in the shoulders when I use it she may just be able to head back to the show pen again!! Will definitely be buying another!!

Karena Horton Crews: We bought a Thinline for our 8 year old daughter’s quarter horse. He has sensitive withers due to scar tissue from much earlier in his life. We also had a terrible issue with her saddle leaning and slipping ….nothing we tried worked. The Thinline made an immediate difference and we were able to add shims exactly where they were needed. Her Thinline made all the difference in the world for both she and her horse!!! Worth every penny!
Louise Cash, D.C. –
We love this pad, my horse & I! He is quieter & happier saddling up and his walk, trot , canter have all opened up. He feels freer when I ride. Thank you!
Erin Long –
This pad is INCREDIBLE! Amazing impact protection, breathability, and comfort. My horses have all had improved topline and better work ethic since we started using this pad almost two years ago now.
Ruth Zielaskowski –
Love this pad and so does my horse with kissing spine. I had to shim it to accommodate high withers but then works perfect.
Liz Gagnet (verified owner) –
This saddle pad is awesome! The fleece pile is great for cushioning and the thinline has incredible shock absorption. I live in South Louisiana and in the summer time it does take some time to dry. To combat this I have a small fan I point on the underside of the pad. Even in the most humid weather and the sweatiest pad, it is dry by the next day. I lightly run my hand or a brush over the fleece before I saddle and it fluffs right back up. My horses enjoy this pad as much as I do.

Love this pad. It was recommended by the saddle expert from which I purchased my saddle may years ago. Like the look, materials and durability. I am on my third pad but they all gave me several years of use. Very satisfied with this product.
