ThinLine is a thin, shock-absorbing non-slip breathable foam. It is the only equine product endorsed by surgeons, master saddlers, riders and veterinarians.
Where is the ThinLine?
It is sewn onto the panel of our Cotton Quilted Saddle Pads. The only product endorsed by surgeons, master saddlers & veterinarians.
 What makes ThinLine so different?
“The manner in which this product absorbs motion encourages horses to lift their backs, developing strength and top-line.” It has been endorsed by Veterinarians, for horses, as well as Spinal Surgeons for riders. It is a top pick for Master Saddlers around the world. Equine Chiropractors and Massage Therapists carry it on their trucks to keep horses going strong, supple, and relaxed. Trainers and riders find it a trusted product to improve rider equitation.
It is the dual benefits of extraordinary shock absorption and rider motion reduction that sets ThinLine apart from other saddle pads.
Ease of use and a perfect fit are hallmarks of this English cotton saddle pad. When using this full saddle pad your ThinLine is always in the right place. It eliminates the need to use multiple pads, thereby reducing tack-up time and unnecessary thickness. The 95% shock absorption rate and no-slip properties of ThinLine mean you have all you need for equine comfort and protection. Easy to wash, feel free to bleach the white ones.
The ThinLine Cotton Quilted Pads are made with ThinLine (3/16″) over a high-quality quilted cotton base pad, creating a contoured wither profile and spine-free channel. This design allows the ThinLine to lay on either side of the spine so that it is always in the right place. Delivering the maximum shock absorbency in the minimum thickness.
ThinLine will not alter the fit of a custom saddle but it is also shimmable for fine-tuning saddle fit. We love the way it encourages horses to lift and engage through the back. It quiets rider movement, clearing the way for better communication and connection using lighter aids. This single unit cotton quilted saddle blanket solves slipping issues by eliminating the need for two pads and keeps the ThinLine right where you need it.

Cotton Saddle Pad Care Instructions
Machine wash cold in front loading washer. Turn the ThinLine to the inside. Spin to remove excess water. Hang to dry naturally with no heat source, including sun. Using a fan speeds the drying process. If you have a white pad, you may use bleach products such as soft scrub on the ThinLine material as well as using a little bleach in the wash cycle. All pads come with a one-year full replacement warranty when following our care instructions. When care instructions are followed, our cotton pads are proving to have an expected longevity of 7-8 years.

I got a drop rigging pad which someone recommended. I love it, but is long on my 13-something hand arabian. It extends about 6-7 inches longer than the back of my saddle. (My fault for forgetting to measure that.) This is my first horse, so I'm trying to figure this out. EZ Fit members highly recommended this pad. I thought it was the best for center-fired rigging. My saddle is treeless extra small EZ Fit. I'm confused about reading the sizing. Would one of the English pads fit better front to back, but still have the long side flap length like the drop rigging? (Even if thinline material isn't in the sideflap?) Are the measurements ftom spine to end of flap, or entire width flap to flap? Thank you.

Thank you for your question!Â
To choose the ideal ThinLine pad for your particular saddle, start with your saddle measurements, or it's "footprint".Â
You'll need the length front to back, including the skirt. Also need the side "drop" measurement-Â the distance from the center of the saddle down to the bottom edge of the skirt.
Compare the saddle's length to the pad's spine length. You'll want a little extra pad overhang at the front and the back of your saddle. About 1-2"
Compare the saddle's drop to the pad's drop to ensure good pad coverage under the skirt of your saddle.Â
In this case- your saddle's length is 22" according to the saddle maker's website, so your pad should be at least 24"-25" long.Â
