Tack Care instructions

We strongly recommend using all-natural  ThinLine Cleaners  for our easy-care reins, boots, girths and other tack. The formula is completely safe for the ThinLine foam, and does an excellent job of cleaning the leather too! Simple dish soap will work as well and baby wipes are handy for a quick clean up! Please avoid leather care products; they contain oil which is damaging to ThinLine. While it looks and feels like leather, it is a very special, nonslip, pressure distributing foam. For conditioning the leather, we recommend using a paste-like conditioner (like Horseman’s One Step) so that you can control the application to avoid contact with the ThinLine.

Please be aware that leather care products and chemicals such as Show Sheen and fly spray can cause the foam to harden.

What is ThinLine?

ThinLine is a thin, shock-absorbing non-slip breathable foam.

  • Impact (shock) absorbency of over 95%
  • Carrying Capacity – it is the only equestrian product that distributes rider weight
  • Non compressing – It never bottoms out, moves or degrades.
  • Breathable
  • Non-Slip

You will feel all the sensations of your horses’ back muscles while enjoying the shock absorption and non-slip features of the trademark ThinLine foam. Balance, comfort, and security can all be yours in our saddle pads. You will find yourself sitting correctly, developing great core strength while enjoying a close but quiet communication with your horse. Equines love ThinLine – they feel unified with their rider. So go ahead, it is time to have the ride of your life.

How do I know ThinLine is delivering the comfort and protection my horse needs?

Once you receive your ThinLine cinch, ride in it for at least a week.  At first, you may simply notice things like; “my horse was great today, my seat and aids were soft and effective”, great job! you are on your way.  You will see daily improvement. But, this can be a bit subtle in the beginning.

How to check out your cinch’s effectiveness.  After at least a week of riding daily, begin your warm-up with the ThinLine.  Once you are warmed up, remove the ThinLine and ride.  This is when you will see just how much your horse is loving their cinch.

This cinch is the absolute best I’ve ever used!! Get one!!!
It doesn’t need to be tight to hold the saddle in place its just hugs the horse gently and stays put! Now I am not constantly adjusting my saddle or cinch, finally! I just got back from a 2 hour ride and NEVER adjusted my saddle or cinch one time! It didn’t pull hair or rub my horse at all. I am SO impressed with Thinline products. I know my horse was more comfortable and so was I, if I could give this 10 stars I would. Thank you for making such great products.

Very good product – I purchased one and tried it then came back and purchased another. Works for my large round horse in prevention of saddle slipping and works for my sensitive horse that every cinch in the world will rub. Noticeably secure and safe feeling in the saddle instead of feeling like veering off to left on round horse. (OK he is fat) Recommend if you have any saddle slip issues.

  9. Q How do you measure for size. Western saddle answer now
A Thanks for your question! With your saddle on your horse, use a tape measure to determine the length from one rigging ring to the other and then subtract 16” to account for the space that the latigos will drop down.
