The Sheepskin trim gives riders the look of a full sheepskin pad with more protection and less bulk.

Medical Grade Sheepskin Wash Instructions

Our products come with a full-year warranty provided they are cared for as directed.

Regular maintenance: Dry between rides. Place the pad sheepskin face up in a cool environment, in humid climates use a fan to blow over the pad. Once the pad is dry, lightly brush it with a pet brush to help to keep the wool fluffy and resilient for the next ride.

Washing and drying: Sheepskin saddle pads are best washed by hand in cold water. Use a soap designed for sheepskin to keep your pad under warranty. You may machine wash (although hand wash is preferred) in a front loader, no agitators against the ThinLine panels, gentle wash cycle, cold. Remove excess water in the pad by squeezing the water out or placing in your washing machine on the spin cycle.

Fill washing machine (or bathtub for really large items) with water, then add a sheepskin soap. Soak for 1 hour squeezing soap and water through item from time to time. If the item is really dirty you may need to repeat the process. Squeeze or use the spin cycle to remove excess water and lay over a rack or rail to dry with sheepskin facing up. Keep out of the sun, and away from direct heat and dryers. Please do not brush or pull sheepskin fibers when wet. To prevent shrinkage, gently stretch the hide while drying.

Full Sheepskin Pads may take 2-3 days to dry. Sheepskin trimmed items should be good to go in a day. The ThinLine shim may slow drying time, we recommend placing absorbent products such as paper towels or chamois cloths inside the pocket.

On white pads you may use Scotch Guard to the rolls to keep them clean and extend washing cycles.

When the care instructions are followed properly, our sheepskin pads are proving to have an expected 4-5 years of use.

This half pad is perfect for everyday riding and showing. With its traditional hunt seat design, it looks fantastic under any saddle. Even more importantly, this pad has helped some of my trickiest horses relax through their back be willing to lift and engage from behind. A good saddle pad truly makes all the differences in a horses ride and I cannot say enough good things about this pad.

Great pad, well made and fits my horse’s back well. We’ve only used it a handful of times, but it appears to be very sturdy and I’m confident it will last. My only complaint is the cut to size shims don’t fit the outline of the insert area very well.

I love this half pad! Provides great shock absorption, looks classy, and is shim-able for using with multiple horses or horses with changing top line.

My saddle fitter recommended the Trifecta half pad with sheepskin rolls, but I had a hard time finding a black one in large. (The medium wouldn’t fit my 17.5″ saddle.) Finally I came to the thinlineglobal site to order one. It shipped quite quickly and looks fabulous! I’m so thrilled with the feel of it while riding with my Custom Omni dressage saddle. This half pad puts me closer to my horse’s back while still providing the comfort and support that he needs. I am definitely a thinline fan now!!!

My favorite half pad! I have been using these pads for years and love that I can customize it for each horse so the saddle fits perfectly while offering that extra protection for my horses’ backs. Bonus, their customer service is the best. Always very friendly and helpful.

I own a difficult to fit OTTB (high withers and “soup bowl” whither pockets). His custom saddle still needs shims so the pommel doesn’t sit on his withers. I tried other shimmable and non-shimmable half pads before finding the ThinLine Trifecta pad. I love the single wide open shim pocket of the Trifecta pad so much that I will never go back to the multi-pocket shim pads. I can get the right amount of lift exactly where I need it and the ThinLine inserts stay where they are supposed to. My first Trifecta pad wore out after many years of daily use so when it was time to get a new one I ordered another Trifecta pad with sheepskin rolls. With the new pad I like the mesh over the spine for better air flow and slimmer profile over my horse’s spine. ThinLine makes wonderful half pads!

I purchased this thinline half pad to help shim and improve the fit my adjustable dressage saddle on two horses. One is a mare with a poor top line that we are building back up and one is a wide-shouldered Percheron QH cross. This pad has made it easy to custom shim for each of the horses so the saddle fits PERFECTLY! Before I got my thinline pad we were struggling with minor soreness and discomfort. This pad has changed the way my horses feel and move under saddle. It was that little extra that helped us achieve more comfort and thus freeness in our riding. I can’t wait to see how my mares progress now that we achieved a more comfortable ride. Next I’m adding the thinline girth!

I purchased this thinline half pad with sheepskin rolls based on several trainer recommendations. It fits comfortably over my Ogilvy baby pad. I use shims and they fit exactly as they should on the thinline half pad. It is very lightweight and not at all obstructive. No apparent soreness or rubbing has occurred. I will purchase this product again and again.

I love my Trifecta Half Pad! It is an essential for when I tack up my older horse who needs a little extra support and comfort. It never shifts out of place or rubs him. I would recommend this half pad to anyone who needs a little extra support, help fitting a saddle to a different horse, or wants to cover all of their bases to ensure their horse’s long term comfort under saddle.

This is my GO TO pad! It’s the best quality pad that I have had. Easy to clean, long lasting, and looks fabulous for schooling or showing. I love the inserts for shim, which I use often for OTTBs. It does say that the pad fits up to 3 shims. However, I have only been able to get two in there. My saddle sitter suggested placing the third thin line shim on top of the pad until that particular horse developed more of a topline. Easy enough and am down to the two shims while he is still developing. Versatile, functioning, and lovely!

The Thinline Half pad with sheepskin role is just what I was looking for to give comfort, shock absorption, and ventilation for my horse. I bought it in the dark brown and it is gorgeous. I pair it with the Thinline cotton quilted dressage pad. They work together perfectly.

I have been using these half pads with sheepskin rolls on all my horses for years. Besides the superb fit and comfort, this pad is so durable. I love thé quality of the sheepskin and the ability to customize the fit with shims according to my horses’ individual contours. I wish I could show in this pad, as it’s shock absorbing qualities create the ultimate ride for me.
